I do solemnly swear......

I have noticed amongst the 'beauty blogging community' a change of order, a shift in what is being expected of us, and this is something I fully support so wanted to add my two-pennyworth. I write my blog as a professional, as a working hair and make up artist. I talk..often ramble...about things I like, be it a product, a technique, something inspirational or something I simply want to share. Blogs are a place which can often be used simply as an advertising play ground, be it static adverts or affiliate schemes (for those who don't know, this is where someone will associate themselves with a company and earn a small commission if the product is bought through their own website) I buy 99% of all products I talk about, sometimes through various connections I have made and due to simply being a MUA I will be sent a product to try. I am not obliged to then review this or mention it at all on my website, I make no financial gain from doing so. I do have one affiliate scheme in place that I use very occasionally. This one I feel more than happy with as I shopped with them a lot and knew that they are pretty much the cheapest of all the online beauty retailers. I do not intend to set up any more and also, you will never see an advert on my website in a billion years! Obviously, taking me up on my recommendations is your own choice and something I hold no responsibility for. Products are not suited to everyone as we are all different. Something I have found success with and have liked may not be the best thing for you, your hair, your skin etc. This may all sound very dramatic...it is just hair and make up...but you lot out there are quite canny, and are starting to figure out the phoneys trying to make a quick buck talking about anything they can get their hands on...they are easy to spot! As a professional, I do have a responsibility to you to be genuine so I hope its clear that I have a genuine passion for my work and the way I see it sharing things that I learn about and use is part of that job. My intention is to provide honest and informative content to readers, so I hope that is what I do. EK x
