RIP Vidal Sassoon

One of the great visionaries in our industry has sadly passed away today. When Vidal started to create strong geometric and angular shapes with hair, he was breaking all the rules of the then current trends and style. He really designed his own way of cutting and dressing hair, techniques still taught and used today as the basic fundamentals.

I was lucky enough to meet Vidal on a number of occasions and his passion and interest in hair and education was utterly infectious. He made me so excited to be a part of the industry. He had this incredible calm presence even though everyone around him was so in awe of him, he was just a normal guy.

A true gent who I will always remember, RIP.
